The Baltic Sea Region Film History Conference is an annual international event that offers a platform for discussions on the past and present of film culture of the Baltic Sea Region. The first conference took place in 2014 in Tallinn, Estonia. From 2019, the conference became mobile, and Vilnius, Lithuania was the first host the event after Tallinn.
The Baltic Sea Region Film History Conference is delighted to announce its 10th edition, inviting scholars, researchers, and practitioners to explore and engage with the rich cinematic heritage of the Baltic Sea region. The 10th conference is organized by Baltic Film, Media and Arts School; Estonian Film Museum; The Film Archive of the National Archives of Estonia; and Estonian Film Institute. The partners this year are Latvian Academy of Culture; Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre; Meno Avilys; Black Nights Film Festival; and Estonian Film Researchers Association.
This milestone conference will continue its tradition of fostering vibrant discussions on film history, culture, and practice.
